Ray and I finished up our Canada road trip by stopping over at Victoria Island in British Columbia. We drove our car onto the ferry from Vancouver. What an experience! Who knew you could pack so many cars onto one boat! We spent the beginning of the trip enjoying the fresh air. But once the ship picked up steam, the strong winds drove us indoors.
Once on the island, we visited the Butchart Gardens. Those pictures will go out on another post! Then after we checked into our hotel, we walked along Belleville Street near the waterfront to check out the British Columbia Parliament Buildings. Such amazing architecture! And we even got to hear about it’s history from a British Columbian Police Officer who was nearby!
Out of all of the stops we made on our Canadian road trip, I’d definitely come back to Victoria Island. There was still so much to see and it felt like we didn’t have enough time.
