Early this summer, we headed out to the western side of Colorado with Rifle Gap State Park as our first stop. The campground is close to Rifle Falls, one of my favorite state parks! It’s an easy walk to the bottom of the falls from the parking lot. And the hike around the park takes you through caves and rivers. It doesn’t take more than a couple of hours to finish the hike. Then we drove into Glenwood Springs which was about thirty minutes away. We found an amazing little Indian restaurant there called Masala and Curry. I actually became addicted to their lamb curry as we ended up going there almost every day we were in the area. Then as evening fell, we hunkered through a lightning storm. Quite a magnificent spectacle!
