Best Beach in Southern California

Having grown up in Southern California, I am naturally a beach girl. Why is it then that I’d never heard of Crystal Cove State Park? Ray and I visited this State Park last February through the recommendation of a passing stranger! What a gem! We parked across the street and walked the underpass trail to get to the beach. Beautiful greenery at the entrance with a restaurant right next to the beach! There’s usually a wait if you want to sit on the deck. No wait to sit inside, and you are protected from the breeze and have big windows to look out through. Their coffee is excellent and comes in wonderful yellow mugs – I’m on the hunt for yellow mugs now!

We must’ve visited during low tide. Just now learning about tides! And we discovered tide-pools and crazy rock formations! Since that first visit, we now make it a point to go to Crystal Cove every time we’re in California. Will be posting more pictures from our other visits.
